The amount of profanity, nudity, drug use, and sex in this move is overwhelming. At one point, I almost had to stop this 3-hour journey after the first hour because I couldn’t handle what I was seeing. This movie definitely drove its point home. It got very satirical at points with the monkey-like behavior many of the employees would show during some of Jordan Belfort’s (my boy Leo) Hitler-esque addresses to his employees/property. Wow. Just wow. The movie was incredible IMO. It was very well-written. Well… it was what I would expect a movie about stock brokers to sound like. The acting was phenomenal. Also, the scene where Leo, hopped up on Quailoids or whatever the hell they are called, saves Jonah Hill’s character from choking to death by snorting cocaine and getting the food out, with the cocaine as a parody of Popeye’s spinach is one of my favorite things ever. You need to see it to get.
